October 2008.

It is fall, and time to enjoy all the fairs and “fall” harvests that will be happening.

During October, we will be visited by Robyn Putnam from Harborside Health Care who will talk about “Insomnia.”  Should be interesting.  During this month we will be visited by folks from Brookline who will be starting their own Seniors Group and want to see how “we do it.”  So feel free to offer any advice and suggestions.  We also will be having our Brown Bag Auction.  Additionally, Flu Shots are scheduled for 23 Oct.  The price has gone up this year to $30 for flu and $40 for pneumonia, if you pay cash.  Otherwise, be sure to bring your insurance and Medicare cards.  During our September business meeting it was voted and approved to amend the bylaws designating honorary seniors.  We also heard from Betty Hall who is running as a Independent for NH State Senate.

Activities for the Month of October:

-          2 Oct: MOW

-          9 Oct: MOW plus Robyn Putnam from Harborside Health Care plus political candidates (state senate)

-          16 Oct: MOW

-          23 Oct: MOW plus business meeting plus Flu Shots.

-          30 Oct: MOW plus Brown Bag Auction.
